GAISSA Members Deliver Tutorial on Software Engineering for ML Systems at EIbAIS/CIbSE 2025
May 14, 2025
Silverio Martínez-Fernández and Santiago del Rey from the GAISSA project delivered an extensive tutorial on "Software Engineering for ML Systems" at the Ibero-American Advanced School of Software Engineering (EIbAIS), co-located with the CIbSE 2025 conference. The tutorial combined theory and hands-on lab sessions on MLOps practices.
On May 13, 2025, GAISSA researchers Silverio Martínez-Fernández and Santiago del Rey conducted a 3.5-hour tutorial titled "Software Engineering for ML Systems." The session was part of the Ibero-American Advanced School of Software Engineering (EIbAIS), held in conjunction with the CIbSE 2025 conference.
During the tutorial, Martínez-Fernández and del Rey introduced participants to an MLOps approach, emphasizing emerging software engineering practices and tools designed to automate the development and deployment of Machine Learning-enabled components. The session was structured with both a theoretical overview and a practical laboratory component, guiding attendees through key stages of the end-to-end ML component life cycle, from initial model building to production deployment.
Further details about the tutorial can be found on the conference website.
