GAISSA members Joel Castaño and Silverio-Martínez Fernández participated in the DLBCN 2023 symposium to present a poster of their paper titled 'Exploring the Carbon Footprint of Hugging Face's ML Models: A Repository Mining Study.'

On December 21, GAISSA members Joel Castaño and Silverio-Martínez Fernández participated in the DLBCN 2023 symposium to present a poster of their paper titled 'Exploring the Carbon Footprint of Hugging Face's ML Models: A Repository Mining Study.' This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the carbon footprint of over 1,400 ML models on Hugging Face, revealing insights into the current state of carbon emission reporting and efficiency in ML model development.

The Deep Learning Barcelona Symposium (#DLBCN) is dedicated to showcasing research in deep learning conducted by scientists based in or originating from Barcelona. This event brings together researchers from various disciplines within the field of deep learning and highlights Barcelona's potential as a Mediterranean AI hub.
